Message So these have been my findings so far:

With the NA rear r200 rear with the TT auto, the stock drive shafts for both do not fit. Either one of the two, the NA driveshaft and the TT drive shaft, was too long and too short respectively. Furthermore the NA front propeller shaft (a 2 piece drive shaft remember) does not mate with the TT Tranny and vice versa because of the difference of diameter of the splines.

I thought the easy solution was to create a hybrid driveshaft. That driveshaft was made by combining the TT front shaft and the rear shaft from the NA shaft. The length seemed right plus it bolted together to the R200 and fit the tranny.

In the process, I destroyed both of the stock center main bearing carriers trying to figure out how to get the flange off in the center so i could get it to mate with the r200 rear in the NA.

I did a test ride around the block and felt vibrations on stop and go. As you accel from 1st it seemed to vibrate alot. If you were a person who didnt know the situation you might even mistaken it as some kind of wheel hop but it definetly wasnt.

My first inclination was that it was the center main bearing carrier -obviously. I replaced it and there was significant improvement however vibration was still present. You had to floor it to cause any of the same vibrations as before and there was a very slight but noticable constant vibration as you drive. My conclusion was at the time: it is fixed only vibration left was minor due to a somewhat imbalanced driveshaft.

However, as i put more mileage on this hybrid driveshaft seems to have gotten back to where I started the same vibration has come back. I think the small vibrations may have ripped up the center main bearing carrier again. I am just hoping the shaft lasts the next 2000km i need to get home and does not blow up at the U-joints until i get to my order for the 1pc driveshaft from Z1 which is the only option i have now.
